William Malcolm Collection
William Malcolm will introduce his collection in his first DFW showcase.
After contacting us about his launch DFW sent out a massive press release
and Jon Jordan TV2, the Detroit Free Press and many fashion magazines
and websites covered his presentation. William impressed the fashion
comunity with his classic men's designs. William takes on the challenge
of becoming one of michigans great men's couture designers. A line missing
from michigan runway events for quite a long time.

Robrena Davis
Alumni of Central Michigan University and student designer from DFW
06. Since graduating she interned with Rachel Roy New York and has since
become a prized intern with none other than internationally reknown
designer of NY Couture Week, Katerina Bocci of Shelby Township, MI.
Katerina has been a DFW Couture designer and supporter and now will
sponsor Robrena in this years showcase in her first showing as a Couture
Designer of womens swimwear. Her collection of classic luxury swimwear
including mastectomy swimwear will impress us all.

Originally from Romania, I immigrated to the United States in 1999.
In order to pursue my life-long dream of becoming a fashion designer
I worked nights while taking English classes during the day. I was then
able to attend International Academy of Design & Technology, graduating
with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design in 2008. Opening my
own business upon receiving my degree, I am finally on my way to realizing
my dreams.
My life, design, and academic experiences and achievements have combined,
allowing me to create original garments with sophisticated and versatile
styling. My La’ Vie line of clothing is a luxury brand of sophisticated,
high quality, read-to-wear designs of my own creation. I have taken

Femelia
Couture
In their third Detroit Fashion Week season Femilia Couture continues
to move forward with their collection of organic womens wear. Their
first fashion showcase was at DFW 2007 and it has been fashion forward
ever since. With coverage in every local magazine, TV interviews and
Womens Wear Daily during fashion week 2007 & 08 Femilia has found
home in their own design studio. Look for more organic couture from
Femilia on DFW runway in this years showcase.

I am originally from Belarus it’s former Soviet Union Republic.
My artistic view and talent is expressed by the designs and sketches.
I always enjoy creating garments that will fit the body flawlessly,
and express their identity and individuality. Having extraordinary imagination
and originality helps me to design wearable and versatile products that
directly interact with people on visual and emotional level. Staying
current on market and fashion trends has helped me to develop a strong
eye for color, fabrics and silhouettes. I participated as a designer
in the Fashion Show in Belarus and in Detroit at WSU student show.

Reginald Robinson
Established in Detroit, Michigan USA in 2007, the Ooshé clothing
brand has very quickly become deeply rooted in the heart of Detroit's
fashion culture. With his use of different fabric textures, color combinations
and complex cuts. Each collection is unique showing a creative vision
that has caught of the eye of some of the hottest fashion centers. Robinson
continues to create excitement adding fuel to the youth culture fashion
movement. That said, he will continue to innovate and has vowed to take
Detroit to its rightful place in the fashion world.

Angela
McBride is a Detroit-based fashion designer, entrepreneur and stylist.
She graduated from the International Academy of Design and Technology
with a Bachelor Degree in Fashion Design. Her clothing line Peace, Love,
and Spandex has been featured in The Detroit News, Metro Times (one
of 2009's Artists Under 30 You Need to Know), Real Detroit, and Six
Degrees, as well as dozens of fashion shows throughout the area.
Her uniquely hand-crafted garments recycle vintage fabrics into something
bold, colorful, and exciting! Sewing past inspirations into the future,
she is continually creating fun and flirty designs that blend a punk-rock
attitude with psychedelic, candy-coated colors. When she is not wardrobe
styling for fashion shoots or music videos, she can be found operating
her Gold Rush Jewelry stores in New Baltimore and Chesterfield Twp.,
and substitute teaching art and Costume Design to children at Detroit
Country Day School with the same exuberance she brings to her clothing.
Angela has been apart of Detroit Fashion Week for the past few years
and is busy preparing her first solo showcase.

McKelton - Central Michigan University
Camille will show once again in the student showcase after her first
DFW event in March 2008. Her denim designs in that showcase were talked
about for quite some time and we can't wait to see what she has in store
for us this year.

Ansara - Western Michigan University
I am an up and coming Fashion Designer. I am student at Western Michigan
University and going into my third year there. I’m apart of a
student organization that gives me great preparation and experience
for the fashion industry. I love vintage clothing and when I need inspiration
I look to Historic Costuming for it. I design and create structural,
wearable art that has both dark/edgy and light/feminine influences.
This is truly my passion and I have plans to make an impact in the fashion
industry with my creative ideas and designs.
Matthew Berger & Arron White - IADT
-a design team to contend with, Matthew and Aaron have created some
of the most artistic couture presented at IADT Dreams 4 showcase 2009.
You will experience fashion color, shape and form thats fresh and fun.
Their theatrical presentation will remind you of some of the stage performances
seen on Broadway and in Vegas.

Marie Verburg - Kent City High School
Winning Garment Presentation
This year DFW challenged high school designers to submit illustrations
for possible presentation at our showcase this season.
Rea Marie Verburg from Cedar Springs, Mi had something special to offer
in artistic couture in her illustration entitled Amelia (A beautiful
lady who is good at heart). In our first high school student design
competition DFW will present Miss Verburg with an award of recognition
for her wonderful design and her couture gown will be presented for
the first time anywhere on our runway for the world to see.My full name
is Rea Marie Verburg. Rea is 17 years old and graduated from Kent City
High School in Kent City, MI.She plans to become a fashion designer
and will be going to GRCC this fall. In the fall of 2010 she will to
transfer to FIDM's LA campus to finish her associates and bachelors.
Her greatest inspiration and fashion industry influence is Valentino
and she was inspired by him to create this evening wear design. She
wants to design evening wear professionally.
Our
high school designer illustration program was inspired by the runway
presentation of Orilia Bocci in last years showcase. Orilia presented
a full line of wonderful couture gowns and truely represents the possibilities
available when you work hard and make your dreams come true.
